You can share your actions via Twitter and Facebook through SHOPULARITY, but this is on a per-action basis, and only when you request to do so.

What's yours is yours. We will never sell, market, give away, barter or write in the sky ANY personal information you give us without explicit permission. When you sign in to compete or vote, we store your full name, nickname (your @ name on Twitter, for instance), a link to your social network profile, your location as provided to the social network and your picture from the social network. We do reserve the right, though, to use your likeness, videos you post, warcries you write and comments you post on the site for the promotion of SHOPULARITY. That's it. No loopholes. SHOPULARITY doesn't always post new contests in advance... especially the super-special ones. If you give us your e-mail address, you'll know when a new contest begins before everyone else. That can mean a huge advantage for you! We promise not to spam you with unrelated junk and you can opt-out at any time.

Deleting your account will remove all links from all social networks from SHOPULARITY. Your votes for contestants in active contests will be nullified, and all personal information about you removed from the system. All videos will also be removed. For all past contests, your information will be displayed as "DELETED USER," but the actions will remain. Here's how it works:
Contestants enter to win a prize. Then, they get people to vote for them. The person with the most votes at the end of the contest wins. Period. No panel of judges, no random drawings.
It's up to you, the contestant to get as many votes as possible, by (almost) any means necessary - social networks, friends, family, random people on the street etc... And sorry, also within the limits of the terms of the site. (lawyers again!)
Shopularity hooks up easily with Facebook and Twitter and provides you with a link to send out to get people to come and vote for you. You can use both the on-site tools (like videos and clever war cries) and your own off-site and possibly off-line ingenuity. Shopularity will NEVER auto-tweet or auto-post to a social network on your behalf without your explicit, per post permission. No link spam here.
Voters get one vote per contest, but they also get points for voting that they can redeem for themselves or others (more on this here).
If there's a tie, a tiebreaker contest will automatically occur for everyone who was in first place.
Contestants cannot vote in a contest, even for themselves.
Contestants don't receive points.

You need votes to win. You are allowed to use any means necessary, within the confines of the terms of this site, to get votes. For example, you can post your cause on the Internet, on a billboard on the highway, call your mom, whatever. SHOPULARITY offers an easy way to post quick videos to your profile associated with a contest. These can help explain to people who might vote for you why you're worthy of their vote. Click on the "add video" button when you're looking at your own profile on a contest, or you can manage contests globally by accessing the settings menu, in the upper right hand of the site's navigation. SHOPULARITY also has hooks in to Twitter and Facebook to let you quickly post that you need votes. Your War Cry is also a quick way to attract attention.
Don't forget to claim your username by visiting the settings menu. This will make it much easier for your friends to find you and makes your personal URL look way better.
You can also post on other contestants or voter's profile pages, appealing to them for votes. Do what you gotta do.
People who vote for you can only cast their vote once for each contest. Once they do so, though, they are allowed to give you, and only you, more votes by cashing in their accumulated points. They could give you one hundred points, which would translate in to one additional vote for you, or they could give you five thousand points for fifty votes. The voters have an incentive to help you win as the better you do, the better they do: at the end of the contest, the voters that backed the winner (and sometimes the 2nd and 3rd place
losers winners) receive more points that could eventually be used towards themselves in a contest. Everyone who votes gets baseline points, but the voters that pick the winner get more. There is, however, a time component to this. You should get your vote in early to be eligible to receive the full amount of points. The longer you wait to vote, the less points you're eligible to receive. Lots more details about this are here.
